Sep. 18th, 2015 11:47 pmBridey doesn't talk about "muggle things" very often, she just mentions being muggle fairly often. And that's because that eternal outsiderhood is a key part of her personality, to a degree that she's not even fully aware of. I don't think she even realizes that she identifies more as a muggle than a witch -- or maybe she doesn't even, maybe she takes the opposite side when she's talking to muggles about the differences too. (Probably. I like this.)
But when she brings things up, she seems to do it mainly because there's something about the wizarding world that she doesn't understand and she thinks that being honest about not understanding it is the best way to come to understand it -- ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened.
I don't think she realizes that it's continually setting her apart in a way she doesn't want.
